arco Nektan (born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia) is multimedia artist: Visual Artist, Performance artist, Butoh Dancer, Choreographer. He studied in Belgrade, Budapest and Prague: Management of Culture, Media and Art History. For many years, he was member of performance art group “Corpus Artisticum”, through which he grow up as an accepted international artist, which some of the art pieces are now in Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. He was founder and leader of performance art group “Un-LTD Art” and founder, director and author of Theater of Mysteries and Mystery Art Philosophy and Concept. In 2014. He opened his own cultural center and started “Nektan art” dance company and theater, which performed over 50th different performances till now and organized workshops in Serbia, Germany, Nederland and Switzerland. From 1995 till 2004 he was dancer in one of the biggest Serbian dance companies “Beodance”, and continued to participate in many different dance schools and workshops with local and international teachers: Classical Ballet, Butho dance, jazz and Contemporary dances, eurythmy… He studied Butoh with several different teachers – Yoshito Ohno, Katsura Kan, Hisako Horikawa, Natsu Nakajima, Yukio Waguri, Charlotta Ikeda, Imre Thorman… Last 10 years he is focused mainly on Butoh, Performance art and Transritual Theater. Has over 100 creations.
